Overview

Many users had difficuties understanding the new steps required in order to complete the installation of the antivirus on macOS Mojave. In order to solve the problem, I created a completely new animated guide.

The initial idea was to create a video to demonstrate the complete installation process. However, after studying the competing solutions and reading the feedback of the users struggling to complete thse steps, I have decided to divide the setup in two steps, making them more detailed and hopefully more succesful in getting the users to finish the installation the right way.

Solution

Step 1

After the initial setup of the antivirus is complete, the helper will open to guide the users towards activating the required settings. The sidebar animation will let the users know that their devices are not yet protected.

Step 2

The users won’t be able to skip steps. The helper will check if all the requirements are activated before moving to the next step, in order to achieve the expected results. The helper will open again if the user deactivates any of the settings after the installation is complete, showing instructions on how to rectivate them.

Step 3

Light and dark

Following the macOS guidelines, everything was designed for both light and dark modes.
